Libertarian influencer and real estate developer Beltrán Briones was awarded on Friday night at the "Ídolo 2025" awards in the "Current Affairs" category. The award comes amid a scandal over his viral statements in support of President Javier Milei's labor reform. The ceremony, which awards digital content creators, was held at the Tattersall Salon of the Hipódromo de San Isidro and was hosted by Zaira Nara and Grego Rossello. Earlier, Briones stated in a video: "There is nothing healthier for a company than to fire an employee." In an agitated tone, he argued that firing improves efficiency because "the other nine work from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. because they are shit scared." He also added: "And you know how the other nine react: they increase production."
